I see every wedding gallery as a living, breathing thing. It’s art you’ll return to again and again, for decades.
After 12 years of shooting, my earlier couples have started coming back to tell me something I carry with me to every wedding. Photos they barely noticed at first have become some of their most treasured. Sometimes a single image brings back a memory they’d forgotten. Sometimes it shows how young everyone looked. As the years pass, the meaning of each photo changes. That’s what inspires me most as an artist.
I’m never just photographing your wedding for the day your gallery arrives. I’m photographing it for you 30 years from now. I’m thinking about how each photo can transport you back, and making each image intentional, so you’ll find something new every time you return.
It’s also why I care so much about how you experience the day. When you’re present and spending your time the way you want, the photos carry that feeling forward, and they become the art worth coming back to.
